WELCOME To GREEN RUN 2014, the 2nd marathon.

Après thrive of previous edition that was accompanied with splendid enthusiasm among all the people dwelling in the region; this edition assures even higher spirits.
Being only one of its kinds as a students’ initiative, it just adds up fervor and touches even higher zeniths.

As various generations comes together to run as one, you will witness a landmark event that not only showcases the city’s vivacious culture but also reignites the passion towards the single motto of a “sustainable environment” it supports.

A world class university by stature, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) provides education along with great opportunities of success to its students.
Spanning over a 100-acre campus in Gandhinagar (Gujarat), the university offers multiple courses ranging from engineering, arts and management
along with maximum exposure and opportunities to its students through various national and International exchange programs with best Universities worldwide.
Plans begin to be afoot for the next year momentously & here after a year IYCN-G PDPU Club is ready to make this version of green run reach even higher zeniths. The university,has always taken keen interest in contributing towards social upliftment as in acting as an aid in environmental welfare activities.It has always been a frontrunner for such causes & has been a leader by example.

We all are aware about the current scenario of environmental degradation.
We firmly believe that the most efficacious means of inducing a desirably salubrious change in the present trend of footprints emission is by involving the youth demography into this very noble cause of environmental protection.
To fulfill this agenda of IYCN-Gandhinagar, a brilliant idea was rendered by our prestigious leader “Mr. Vaibhav Kohli”, who thought that a “Marathon” and a “Walkathon” event were the most potent tools to foster eco-friendly activities and subsequently promulgate awareness connecting environmental issues. Then was the birth of “GREEN RUN”. There was such a huge turnout which clearly connoted that our mission was well accomplished. More than 2000 people of various age groups and various cultural backgrounds actively participated in the race and showed a lot of enthusiasm and supported our cause.
