about Snakes and Ladders
The traditional board game now takes a new turn with your geeky wits assuming the role of the dice. All you need is an up to date knowledge of all computer related fields to see through snakes and climb up the ladder to victory. Get ready to roll your wits!!!
problem statement
The participant will be given a snakes and ladders screen where each block will be maintained as a clickable link to a corresponding problem. At the start of the game only starting block can be clicked and the remaining blocks are in a state of non-clickable links. After solving each problem, the next block will become a clickable link.
judging criteria
Based on the solution the score of the participant can be increased or decreased.
For a block with a ladder
Case1: If the participant solves the question correctly, he/she will be directed to the appropriate block where the ladder leads and that block will become a clickable link. The score of the participant will be equal to his original score plus the score gained by all the blocks in between.
Case 2: If he/she solves the question incorrectly, the next block will become a clickable link, with no points scored for current block.
Snake: Here the participant has two options of whether to choose that block or not.
Case 1: If participant chooses the block If he chooses and solves correctly, he will be given bonus points. (The bonus points are relative to the level where they are challenging) If he chooses and solves incorrectly, he will be directed to that block where the snake leads and the score will also be reduced by all the blocks in between, with an additional penalty in points. Then based on the number of blocks in between, there will also be a time penalty.
Case 2: If participant doesn’t choose the block The next block will become a clickable link, with no points scored for current block. Note: A participant may have to solve the same questions again in case he/she is driven to a lower level by a snake.
