Pak arrests 97 militants, foils jailbreak plan

Pakistani forces have arrested 97 militants from al Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in Karachi and crippled a plan to break journalist Daniel Pearl's killer out of jail. The militants were also involved in several attacks on Pakistani air bases and police installations from 2009 to 2015, a military spokesperson said. Terror groups are working together to carry out attacks, he added.
